Siegmar Gerken, Ph.D., ECP, and K.P. Schlebusch, M.D. have developed an intensive program for healing which combines energetic holistic medicine and body-oriented psychotherapy in a unique way. The premise of this work is that psychological and emotional events and processes of the physical organism are directly linked. Disturbances in the harmony of these systems are revealed in a range from mild uneasiness to life-threatening psychosomatic manifestations.

The Foundation of Healing program utilizes recent developments in medical, physical and psychotherapeutic research to analyze the harmonic balance of individuals and to activate the natural healing powers that support the flow of health and life.

In classical medicine, symptoms or conflicts are brought to a physician, alternative medical practitioner, or therapist. The practitioner analyzes these symptoms, and may be able to eliminate them. But this is often not a lasting or complete solution. A more complete solution may require analyzing the individual's fundamental energetic and organismic constitution. To more deeply understand this we must consider that a person's psyche is reflected in his or her body. Looking at the person as an integration of mind, body, spirit and soul often points to different or entirely unexpected causes for the symptoms and conflicts, and activates new possibilities for healing.

Recent research confirms that energy arising at all levels of existence, from sub-atomic to organic, has a major impact at the level of the total organism. That is, for each physical manifestation in the body, there is an energetic correspondence. We also know that every human being has an energetic constitution particular to him or her. It is based on the interaction of the genetic and biological constitution, the physiology of the body, nutrition and environmental conditions, the psychological-emotional surroundings, subtle physical and karmic realities¤as well as further systems and connections which are, as yet, unrecognized. This correspondence between physical and energetic phenomena in the body has only recently been addressed using the methods of science, although it is described in mystical traditions and alchemical healing methods.

Foundation of Healing Approach
The Foundation of Healing program addresses the complexity of the life of a person in a way that reflects these principles:

1. Every human being is a psychosomatic unity of body, spirit, and soul.
2. Every manifestation of the body and each illness has a history.
3. At the center of every treatment is always the whole human being in his or her personal situation in life.
4. Healing is the art of activating the powers of self-healing of an individual.

Drs. Schlebusch and Gerken combine new medical diagnostic technology with the insights of body-oriented psychotherapy (Core Evolution) to create an integrated picture of the functioning and health of the body. By combining these disciplines, the fundamental interrelationships between the energetic and biologic aspects of individuals are made clearer and the self-healing powers can most effectively be activated.

Tests and Measurements
Through the following diagnostic methods, integrated with a personal, psychological, emotional and developmental history, it is possible to discover what factors may be responsible for a person's good health or illness.

On the medical/scientific level, we use scientific methods such as:

1. Infrared Thermography and Thermo-Vision Analysis, which measures temperature differences emitted from the body. The thermo-vision analysis enables the client and the physician simultaneously to actually observe the energy activity and movements on the screen or photo and thus allows for decisive differential-diagnostic indications.

2. Darkfield Microscopy of the Vital Blood, which enables analysis of the resistance and degree of aging of the blood and its cells, and gives indications of alterations in the acid-base balance or of accelerated shrinking of cells. Deficiencies in protein processing or iron absorption are also recognizable. Evaluation of the biological-energetic arrangement of the blood cells allows conclusions about the dynamic processes and pressures in the organism.

3. Decoder Dermography (DDG), by which we obtain data concerning the capability for reaction and regulation of the connective tissue to outer stimulants and local indications for chronic and acute process diseases.

4. Electro-Physical Readings, which create a functional organ and tissue analysis based on resistance measurements between Electro-Acupuncture points. Using this technique, it is often possible to discover a beginning or chronic organic illness.

On the therapeutic level we use Core Evolution techniques to establish the biographic, psycho-emotional development of a person on the levels of the body, feelings, reason, the orientation of the positive will in life, and the mental-spiritual evolution.

Diagnosis and Analysis
The combined results of these tests and evaluations are analyzed to determine the subtle physical and cellular organismic energy states as well as evaluate the person's psycho-emotional appearance. In this way the person's general condition and capacity for healthy reaction is noticed, as well as his or her disturbances and pathological changes. Energetic-medical interventions such as acupuncture, homeopathy, phytotherapy, light and color therapy, neural therapy, and the approach of Core Evolution, with its body-psychotherapeutic analysis of the personality and its behavior, make possible a comprehensive recognition of stress patterns, and show the effects of emotional and physical reaction patterns on the organism and the life processes connected with it.

The Healing Process
